The Gothenburg Process in Kingston
The Gothenburg Process was invited to the International Ecumenical Peace Convocation in Kingston to present itself at one of the many workshops. Two representatives of the "Bogota-process" were also present and gave a report of their work. The workshop was an opportunity of networking with likeminded groups in different parts of the world.
KG Hammar was also part of an informal working group on arms, peace and security at IEPC. The group submitted a statement to the message committee on security (there was an open invitation to do so at the IEPC), and the statement reflects very well the understanding of the Gothenburg Process. At the IEPC an Ecumenical Call to Just Peace was taken. Other documents from the IEPC to download can be found at the Decade to Overcome Violence website |
